Now this scene played out very fast in the movies, you only see the holo recording for a minute and they don’t actually make mention of the people he’s fighting in it. But the long haired Jedi you see there, that’s Cin Drallig.
Now Cin Drallig here just seems to fly by, most people thought he was just some Jedi being killed by Anakin. Drallig however was the current Jedi Battlemaster, the head lightsaber instructor for the entire Order. He was not some random Jedi Knight, he was as skilled a swordsmen as you could find without looking at the obvious ones such as Mace Windu or Yoda.
During this fight Drallig had two padawans with him who he had been in the middle of instructing. This fight really shows off just how powerful Vader had become when he embraced the dark side, he was able to choke one of the apprentices to death with one hand while holding Drallig completely at bay with the other. When Vader finally turned to offense, he defeated Drallig with contemptuous ease. With his death there was really no one else left in the temple that could have any hope of stopping Vader.
